Volunteered my time to help DMSC upgrade their website.
Their old site (bottom image at left), while containing some helpful information, was not well-structured, poorly designed, and was a nightmare to navigate on mobile devices. As a result, it was rare that the site would eclipse even more than 10 visits per month.
I worked with the board to reorganize the site — prioritizing the information most important to parents of current players as well as the parents of prospective players — streamlining navigation, and making club offerings more visible and easy to understand. Using the platform made available through Playmetrics, their club registration partner, I worked with existing templates and made better use of available components to create a web experience that was helpful, user-friendly, and on-brand.
Post-relaunch site traffic skyrocketed and now boasts 5,000+ visits and 8,000+ page views during peak in-season windows with site analytics showing that 72% of those visits are now done on mobile devices.
I continue to work with the DMSC board to make seasonal updates and add news items promoting the club as needed.
